I took this shot on the shores of Lake Champlain on July 4, right before sunset. Lisa and I were tired from a full day of traveling and were looking forward to a nice dinner by the lake. Alas, a rapidly incoming electrical storm forced us to abandon our plans, but not before I got in a few nice shots, including this one.

This shot was taken in Taftsville, VT, just above the covered bridge. Unfortunately, the bridge was badly damaged in Hurricane Irene and has yet to be re-built. I spent a considerable amount of time shooting the bridge before turning my camera upstream and capturing this shot of the Ottauquechee River.
